Ahavat Olam is proud to announce the addition of Cantor Ronit Rubin to our clergy staff. Cantor Ronit was born in Israel and graduated from UNC-Greensboro in North Carolina with a degree in education. Having completed her Cantorial Studies in 2012, Cantor Ronit is a member of the Cantors Assembly and Women Cantors' Network. Her mezzo-soprano range creates warmth and inclusiveness on the bima and on the stage. She has sung in many concerts and served several congregations in South Florida, including Bet Shira in Pinecrest. Most recently, Cantor Ronit has been conducting even SHabbat services at Pacifica Forrest Trace in Fort Lauderdale, then attneding morning services at Beth Torah in Tamarac. Her father, Rabbi Michael Cain, delivers the D'var Torah and reads the full parashah! Cantor Ronite credits her parents for instilling within her a love of Judaism and singing. In additiomto serving synagogues, Cantor Ronit teaches in the religious school at Beth Am and in private lessons.
On a personal note, Cantor Ronit can be seen weekday mornings at the JCC hanging out with her friends. She is married to Ross Rubin, and their and joy are their daughters, Melissa and Michelle.
